Marshall County’s boys soccer team is heading to Murray tonight (Tuesday) for Second District playoffs after ending their season in Hopkinsville on a 5-0 shutout win over University Heights.

Pratik Patel and Collin Riley each added two goals and the other went to Jack Noles for the Marshals’ 10th win of the season.

Tonight, Marshall County will face the winner of Monday’s round one between Mayfield (3-7-2) and Graves County (3-7-2) to take the field for a chance to advance to the Second District championship game on Thursday.

Marshall County took shutout wins over both Mayfield and Graves County. Kiefer Court, Collin Shadowen, Caleb Nicholis, and Collin Riley were all on the board for the 6-0 win over Mayfield. William Lynch, Kiefer Court, Eric Hicks, and Logan Davis earned the 4-0 victory over the Eagles of Graves County.

Wednesday, Murray will face off against Calloway County for the title of opposing team in the championship game, after taking two wins over the Lakers in regular season game play.

The winning teams will meet Thursday at 8 p.m. at Murray High School for the district championship game.
