Harris commits to SIUC to play baseball for the 2020-2021 season

DRAFFENVILLE -- MCHS senior Riley Harris has signed to become a baseball Falcon with Southeastern Illinois Community College of Harrisburg, Illinois. The Falcons are coached by Jeremy Irlbeck.

Harris has been an anchor for the Marshals, pitching for the 2018 and 2019 baseball seasons.

As he heads into his senior season, he currently has 13 wins and two losses, 110 total innings pitched, 96 strikeouts, and 2.53 earned run average.

In his junior season alone, he ranked within the Top 15 in the state with nine wins and one loss. He pitched 66 innings with 65 strikeouts and 26 walks, and a 2.33 earned run average. Harris was also named to the Kentucky High School State All-Star Game West Team by the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Harris is the son of DeAnna and Sean Harris.
