DRAFFENVILLE -- Marshall County football players Luke Wyatt, Dylan Rayburn, Dawson Smothers, Ty Buchmeier, and Quinn Smith were all named to the 2019 All WKC team.
Running back Wyatt played 11 games, netting 578 yards his senior season.
He scored four touchdowns for the Marshals.
Rayburn, also a senior, rushed for 283 yards in 11 games while also gaining 57 yards on five receptions. He scored one touchdown on a 29 yard pass from Smith during the Marshall vs. McCracken game at home.
MCHS senior Smothers was the strong man for the Marshall defense. He had 136 total tackles, 86 solo tackles, one forced defensive fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
Buchmeier, the fourth Marshall senior named to the All WKC team, sat injured for two games. He still earned 288 rushing yards on 50 rushing attempts scoring three rushing touchdowns. "Bucky" also had 11 pass receptions for 190 yards, two pass reception touchdowns, and a scored a two-point conversion.
Buchmeier spent time on both sides of the ball with 42 total tackles, 34 solo tackles.
Smith was the only Marshal who was not a senior named to the All WKC team. As a sophomore quarterback, Smith had 39 pass completions for 567 yards and five touchdown passes. In addition, he rushed for 283 yards and ran for four rushing touchdowns. Smith also earned his own solo tackle.
