Carmen Gunn will head to Harding University to continue her soccer career

DRAFFENVILLE -- MCHS senior Carmen Gunn has signed her letter of intent to play soccer at Harding University in Searcy, Ark. The Lady Bisons are coached by head coach Dr. Greg Harris.

Gunn has been a vital part of the Marshall County Lady Marshals soccer program as the ladies took three consecutive regional championship titles. She led the team in scoring both her junior and senior year. Gunn finished her career as the third leading scorer in MCHS history with 92 career goals.

As a freshman and sophomore, Gunn was named to the KHSAA All-Region second team. As a junior and senior, she was named to the KHSAA All-Region first team.

Her senior year, Gunn was selected co-most valuable player for region one. She was also named to the All-State first team.

As a player defined by her speed and strength, and her grit and determination, Gunn was also a true athlete maintaining above a 4.0 GPA throughout her high school career.

Gunn is the daughter of Melissa and Chris Gunn.
