MCHS took back-to-back regional golf titles for the boys and girls golf teams.

The Lady Marshals competed at Paxton Park last Monday with Marshall County shooting 325, outshooting second place McCracken County by 11 strokes.

Leading Lady Marshal Savannah Howell took fourth overall with a score of 76 (par 71). The rest of the team carded 80s. Megan Hertter shot 81, Kenley Luksic at 83, Sarah Umbarger 85, and Elsie Riley with 88.

Marshall boys took first place at Calvert City Country Club Tuesday by a margin of 30 strokes. The Marshals finished at 289 with second place going to McCracken County.

Jay Nimmo was top finisher for the second year in a row. He shot a four under 68.

Second place went to Tyler Powell with 71, and Camdyn McLeod finished third with 74. Trey Wall came in at sixth shooting 81.

Both teams will be heading to Bowling Green this week to compete in the 2019 KHSAA state tournament. The ladies will be teeing off starting at 7:00 Tuesday morning, and the boys will start at 7:45 Friday morning.
