Ben Fiser signing

Ben Fiser with dad, Brent Fiser, and mom, Charisa Fiser, signs to throw on the track and field team for the University of Cincinnati.

The Marshall County High School Athletics Department and men’s track and field program would like to announce that Ben Fiser is signing with the University of Cincinnati, where he will compete for head coach Susan Seaton. The University of Cincinnati is a member of the American Conference and a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division I. Fiser has thrown for the Marshall County High School Track and Field program for four years. This season Fiser has been a force in the ring-being ranked top five in the state in shot put and discus all season.

“Fiser is our third guy to commit this season, and I know he will take full advantage of the opportunity and will undoubtedly continue his success at the next level. “I could not be more proud,” said Andrew Johnston, men’s head coach. “Fiser has followed in the footsteps of his brother (Zach Fiser) and has embodied what it means to be a student athlete; he is focused, determined, and highly motivated. There are always days out here when you have to trust the guys up on the hill to be self-motivated and put in the work. However, I have never had to worry about Fiser, he is a tireless worker and dedicated to the sport. The Bearcats will be better for adding him to their roster.”
