Luke Grigg found himself with 19 points and 11 boards to start off his season on the right foot by pulling a double-double, as well. Grigg also stepped up and pulled the Eagles well ahead of the Rebels for the win. Andrew Dunning was out for most of the first half after receiving a bloodied nose while getting called for a charge and managed to score eight points.

Powerhouse teammates Isaac Hovekamp and Andrew Dunning stole the show against Fulton City with 39 points between the two. Andrew Allen and Luke Grigg were right behind them with a combined total of 26. Carter Space and Carter Johnston alongside 7th grader Elijah Grigg not only made appearances but helped provide cushion in the second half.

CFS 46, St. Mary 43In a close and intense game against St. Mary, the Eagles soared as head coach Tyler Ryan earned his first win over the Vikings. Luke Grigg, who has been unstoppable this season, cashed in 16 points against the Vikings. The largest lead came after CFS went on a 7-0 run before the Vikings rallied in the second quarter. Grigg went on to score the Eagles’ final eight points to take down the Vikings.

CFS 88, CCA 73The Eagles kicked off the First Region All “A” tournament by putting numbers on the board first and never looked back, racking up 40 points before the half and leading CCA by 16 (40-24) at the break. Luke Grigg banked one in from half-court at the buzzer right before the half, sending Eagles fans into a cheerful glee. After a victorious win over CCA, the Eagles remain undefeated going into week two of the season with a meeting tonight at Mayfield in the All “A.”
