As county commissioner, I have prided myself on being a strong advocate of our local farmers because I know the importance they serve in our economy and in our communities. That's why I am as equally proud to offer my fullest support for the re-election campaign of Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles.

Agriculture runs deeps in Kentucky and is more than just a job, but a way of life. During the past four years, Ryan Quarles has worked hard to preserve and promote this important way of life by working to expand agriculture markets and has been a national leader working hard on international trade issues that affect Kentucky.

As a fiscal conservative, Quarles has led an efficient department by cutting his own office budget six times and reduced his department's vehicle fleet by 15 percent which has saved taxpayer money. Quarles has effectively grown Kentucky's hemp industry by leaps and bounds making Kentucky a national leader in hemp production thus laying the foundation for the next generation of agriculture leaders. As a testament to his Christian faith, Quarles introduced the Kentucky Hunger Initiative to help feed those lacking reliable access to affordable, nutritious food. As a result, Kentucky now has the strongest food donation law in the nation.

Farmers are the backbone of America and it is important to elect officials who understand and advocate for them. I hope you will join me in voting to re-elect Ryan Quarles as Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner on November 5th.
