Linda Bernice (Linsin) Sawyers, 67 of Hardin, and the Unity community passed away Monday, April 12, 2021, at Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Born Thursday, April 30, 1953, in Saint Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Monte Pat Linsin and the late Mary Helen (Jones) Linsin. She was retired from Twin Lakes Mooring in Aurora, where she worked as a secretary. She also worked for several years as the manager of the Dollar General Store in Benton.
She was a member of Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is her husband of 27 years, David W. Sawyers of Hardin; sons, Tony Taylor of Benton, Matthew Taylor, wife Jamie of Benton, and Jordan Sawyers, wife Christie of Oakland; brothers, Dennis Linsin of Fairdealing, and Scotty Linsin of Fairdealing; sisters, Cathy Hopkins of Aurora, Connie Salcedo of Aurora, Stephanie Linsin of Fairdealing, and Beverly Linsin of Benton; grandchildren, Abby Miller, Robert Linsin, Maddie Sawyers, Avrie Taylor, Cameron Sawyers, and Jackson Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Randy Linsin and Jackie Linsin; sisters, Elizabeth McNeely and Amanda “Mandy” Linsin; granddaughter, Leah Sawyers
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 15, 2021, in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton. Rev. Wayne Hopkins will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Unity Cemetery, Hardin.
