Eddie Louis Green, 86, of Benton, passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at his residence in Benton, Kentucky. He was a deacon and former Sunday School Teacher at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, Masonic Member of Briensburg — T.L. Jefferson, Masonic Lodge # 401, Airplane Pilot. He was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Local 1969 Calvert City and retired as a Chemical Operator from Penwalt in Calvert City.
He was born on Monday, Dec. 10, 1934, in Benton, to the late Wallace and Mary Harrison Green.
He is survived by his wife, Sheria Green, Benton; daughter, Cinda Green, Benton; brother, Waid Green, Paris, Tennessee; two sisters, Marilyn “Moonie” Jones, Calvert City, and Polly Poe, Benton; three grandchildren, Kari Jenkins, Reidland, Kyle Green, Benton, and Tala Harper, Benton; and five great-grandchildren, Devon Jenkins, Parker Jenkins, Silas Jenkins, Max Green, and Harlee Harper.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris Green; two great-grandchildren, Kobie Harper and Ava Jenkins; two brothers, Tommy Green and Doug Green; and a sister, Patsy Ethridge.
Funeral service was held at Collier Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, with Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn as officiant. Burial followed the service in the Marshall County Memory Gardens.
