Reverend Shirley Gupton Lynn, 84, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 2. She was born in 1935 in Carlisle County at home near Bardwell to the late Hazel Lee Gupton and Dr. Eulice Gupton.
James Elison Gordon, age 83, of Benton, died on Thursday, June 18 at Baptist Health Paducah. He was retired from General Tire where he worked in the trucking department. He was a member of Dexter Pentecostal Church.
Brenda Raye Metz, 68, of Ashland City, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, June 3, at her home. She attended Triton College in Chicago, Illinois and was a legal assistant. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Iris Hill, age 93, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 26, at Anchor Health and Rehab. She was born in Kevil on September 13th, 1926. She resided the last three years of her life in Aiken, South Carolina. Her parents were Rollie and Emma McNeely Johnson.
Bro. Richard “Rick” D. Clendenen, age 65, of Benton, was promoted to Heaven on Tuesday, May 19, at Baptist Health in Paducah. He served as a missionary, minister and founder of Rick Clendenen Ministries. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.

Robert Michael Hess, age 78, of Gilbertsville, died on Tuesday, May 12, at his home. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and was a retired engineer for Motorola. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
