Heather Wiles, Owner: L & J CyclesQ: What is a general description of your duties as the Owner of L&J Cycles?

A: “As the owner, I am all over the place! I take care of all of the marketing and bookkeeping functions, ordering & receiving parts, sales and finance, parts, accessories, and apparel Sales, showroom set-up, and I even help in the service department when needed! When in person meetings start again I will be the networking person as well!”

Q: How long have you envisioned owning your own business?

A: “I grew up in a family business, so owning my own business has always been in the back of my mind. Travis and I have always talked about owning our own business together and have been working very hard over the past 3 years to make this business become a dream come true!”

Q: What is your favorite aspect of your job? (What gets you out of bed in the morning?)

A: “Well there’s two! The fact that I get to go to work with my best friend, my husband every day! Plus we get to help other riders that truly need help. That’s why we started this business — to help riders in our area that weren’t getting the help they truly needed, and to bring the FUN back to the sport!”

Q: What is one piece of advice you live by as a business leader?

A: “Treat everyone the same, and in our business I don’t sell anything that I wouldn’t ride or I wouldn’t put my own children on!”
