Lisa Holland, HOPE ClinicQ: What is a general description of your role with the H.O.P.E Clinic?

A: “I am the Executive Director of HOPE Clinic, and we have an office in Benton and Eddyville. I do fund raising, and public relations. I supervise the various programs we offer, making sure that clients are being served through our medical services, including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and STD testing. We also offer material assistance, parenting class programs and abortion recover counseling. We share the love of Christ as we provide free services. No two days are the same because it is a ministry designed to meet many different needs in this community.”

Q: How long have you been with the H.O.P.E Clinic?

A: “I have been with the H.O.P.E Clinic for 21 years.”

Q: What projects are you working on that you would like to share more about?

A: “Right now we are working on some different classes that we can offer our clients such as a couples class and a Bible study. We are also currently planning our fall fundraiser, the annual banquet. This major event is our main source of funding for HOPE Clinic.”

Q: What is your favorite aspect of your job?

A: “My favorite part of this ministry is knowing that we are here for our clients through our different programs, from helping a young girl through an unplanned pregnancy, or working with young families through our parenting classes and helping with material assistance. Seeing them become better parents and helping them gain the self-confidence they need to make good choices when it comes to parenting is very rewarding.”

Q: What is one piece of advice you live by as a business/community leader?

A: “Put God first in all things. By living that way we are serving others in the community and those that need our services.”
