Love Light Tree Day
Marshall County Judge Executive Kevin Neal (seated) signs the proclamation designating countywide observance of Love Light Tree Day for Nov. 22, as presented by the Marshall County Hospital Auxiliary members (from left) Ken Lewis, Anne Williams, Leviathian Powell, Marie Norsworthy and Karen Harrington. According to the proclamation the auxiliary in the past year has purchased one Clinton stretcher for ultrasound and two patient room recliners for the hospital; awarded the seventh annual $500 scholarship to two Marshall County students pursuing careers in health care; has provided for 33 consecutive years an avenue for individuals to commemorate and honor loved ones, deceased or living, by sponsoring the Love Light Tree each December. The Love Light Tree Day is a special day set aside to encourage county residents to make the donation that funds such projects and places a light on the tree in honor of their loved ones.
