The Kentucky Office of Rural Health will host a statewide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Listening Tour this month and in March, making stops in eight communities across the commonwealth to better gauge the current state of rural EMS services.
Tour sessions will allow EMS professionals, hospital and clinic administrators and staff, health department staff, state and local government officials, community members and other interested parties the opportunity to share their insights about the strengths, challenges and needs of Kentucky's EMS agencies.
Locally, that tour will be at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park at 113 Administration Dr., in Calvert City on Wednesday. All Listening Tour sessions will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
