The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction along Ky. 402 east of Hardin Wednesday, Feb. 24.

This lane restriction is to allow a detailed inspection of the East Fork Clarks River Bridge between Hardin and Aurora. This bridge is just west of the Ky. 962/Old Olive Road intersection.

Motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers from approximately 8:30 a.m. to about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and inspection personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

All Kentucky bridges get a detailed safety inspection every two years with long-span river and lake bridges getting an extra walk-through inspection annually.
