Marshall County Schools Superintendent Trent Lovett confirmed 42-year-old Dan Langhi has been suspended from coaching the Lady Marshals basketball team following his early morning arrest on New Year's Day.
In addition to coaching the Marshall County High School girls basketball team, Langhi is also a teacher. Lovett said there will be disciplinary action but because it's a personnel issue, he's not allowed to discuss details.
Lovett said Aaron Beth, director of the MC@HOME program, has been named interim coach in Langhi's place.
Langhi was arrested Jan. 1 at 7:37 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence and speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit.
Langhi is scheduled for arraignment in Marshall District Court on Jan. 27 at 9 a.m.
