When and why your store came to be?
If my facts are straight, in 1964, Terry and Mac Tucker started a small store near the court square in Benton . In 1965, they moved to Draffenville and opened as Shop-O-Rama as primarily a hardware store.

When and why your store came to be?
If my facts are straight, in 1964, Terry and Mac Tucker started a small store near the court square in Benton . In 1965, they moved to Draffenville and opened as Shop-O-Rama as primarily a hardware store.
They were entrepreneurs, and I am sure they felt there was a need for that kind of store in the community.
How has Marshall County been influential to your business?
Over the last 57 of years of being located in Draffenville, the store has expanded a few times to add more variety and offerings to the customers. Being located in Marshall County, we have local do-it-yourself customers, contractors, shoppers who do not favor the big box stores, workers and hunters who need clothing and footwear, fishermen and boaters who need supplies, vacationers looking for fuel, supplies, and gifts, and local commercial and industrial customers who need items to support their businesses.
The location provides easy access to several parts of the county by several major highways and interstates.
What products/services do you offer?
Plumbing, electrical, hardware, tools, fasteners, lawn & garden, paints & stains, camping, boating, fishing, Case knives, propane, kerosene, concrete mixes, mulches, landscape rocks, swings, chairs, grills, towables for the lake, ladders, clothing for men and women, work and casual boots, coveralls, giftware, 65 & Oak Boutique for the younger looks, drinks, snacks, coolers, and other things. We love variety and we’ve got it. We also try to assist our customers in solving their project problems and providing a clean, well-stocked store to shop in.
Are you planning on running any holiday deals?
