In honor of World Mental Health Day, the Marshall County Health Department, in partnership with Baptist Health Paducah, will offer free mental health exams on Monday, Oct. 11 from 1-4 p.m.
Exams will be administered by APRN Jenny Waters from Baptist Health and will include depression and anxiety screenings and blood pressure checks. Patients must be 14 years or older.
These screenings will also help to address the need for behavioral health services expanded in the area, as voiced by the community in a survey administered by the health department in the spring. The survey was administered electronically and paper copy and received 557 responses. Of the responses, 53.7% stated they would be interested seeing behavioral health exams expanded.
The mental health exams will take place at the health department, located at 267 Slickback Road.
