Marshall County Coroner Michael Gordon said his department is awaiting toxicology and pathology reports in order to finalize the case of a Ballard County man who was found dead near the Draffenville I-69 exit on New Year’s Day.

Andrew E. Blakey, 25, of Barlow was discovered Friday morning. Marshall County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting the body near the exit. Blakey’s body was taken to Louisville for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Capt. Jason Lane, no one else was located at the scene Friday, nor was another vehicle found.
