The Benton Partnership is hosting the annual Farm to Fork Dinner on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Marshall County High School, to recognize and honor our agricultural community. The doors will open for guests at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Hannah Edelen, Miss Kentucky 2022, will be the guest speaker.
This event started in 2017 as a way to recognize and honor the local agricultural community. Local farmers provide food for the dinner each year, and students from Marshall County High School’s Culinary Class prepare the dishes for the guests. Heather Davis, a local farmer and contributor, says, “In a world where being a social media influencer is considered a profession, I like to see those who produce something tangible be honored, like farmers.”
Farm to Fork organizers will be presenting a variety of awards at the dinner including: Farmer of the Year, Young Farmer of the Year, Woman of the Year in Agriculture, and Agri-Business of the Year. This is the first year that Woman of the Year in Agriculture and Agri-Business of the Year will be presented. These awards bring much needed attention to strong women and businesses making a difference in local agriculture. Scholarships will also be awarded in the following areas: FFA (Future Farmers of America), culinary, and media.
This event has sold out in the past, so be sure to purchase tickets soon. Individual tickets are $40. There are also sponsorship tables available including Underwriter and Table Owner.
