Confederate flag flying is objectionable

EDITOR:

I’m a Marshall County resident and I object to any of the flags of the Confederate States of America being flown anywhere on the North American continent.

I am a great-grandson of William Henry Harrison Lawrence (1843-1929) of Graves County. He was a member of Forrest’s 12th Kentucky Calvary CSA.

If anyone will read the constitution of the Confederate States of America, they will see the purpose was to keep a state’s right to enslave human beings and to allow the practice of slavery to be in new states that come into the union of the United States.
