A free produce giveaway for Marshall County residents will take place from 9 a.m. until noon at the Marshall County Caring Needline located at 307 Main Street in Benton. The event is the result of partnership with Feeding America Kentucky's Heartland, Purchase Area Development and the free produce is sponsored by Anthem. The Marshall County Public Library @Benton is closing after today to begin moving into the new location on Birch Street; library officials are planning to open that location in March. The @Hardin and @Calvert City locations remain open. For more information call 270-527-9969.

Palma United Methodist Church invites everyone to attend the Community Breakfast for a buffet meal featuring country ham, sausage and pancakes. Breakfast begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 9 a.m. Meals are $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 7-12, and kids 6 and under eat free. The Miss Tater Day, Little Miss and Mister Tater Day pageant will be held at 11 a.m. at the North Marshall Middle School gymnasium. The entry fee is $50 per contestant. Forms are available for pickup at the Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce office in Draffenville or by visiting the Tater Day Pageants Facebook page.
