The Marshall County Senior Citizens group is hosting its first country ham breakfast fundraiser from 6-9 a.m. at the Caring Community Center, located at 1713 Golf Course Road in Benton. For more information about the center or services, call 270-527-9860.
Maple Spring United Methodist Church will accept donations in exchange for breakfast from 6:30-9 a.m. The menu includes country ham, sausage, eggs cooked to order, pancakes, homemade biscuits, gravy, orange juice and coffee. This month's proceeds will benefit the Maple Spring UMC Men's Club. The church is located at 9643 Hwy. 68 East in Fairdealing.
The Marshall County Arts Commission is hosting its eighth annual Father-Daughter Princess Ball on Feb. 15 and the deadline for purchasing tickets is Feb. 10. The vent will be held at the Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park with Chef Kelly Staples serving dinner and Majestic Sounds Entertainment providing the music. Tickets cost $50 per person and are available at the Children's Arts Center in Benton, Benton City Hall or Marshall County Public Library @Calvert City, or by calling 270-748-7508 or 270-703-0304.
The Miss Tater Day, Little Miss and Mister Tater Day pageant will be held at 11 a.m. at the North Marshall Middle School gymnasium. The entry fee is $50 per contestant. Forms are available for pickup at the Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce office in Draffenville or by visiting the Tater Day Pageants Facebook page.
