March 9
• Every Thursday from 9 a.m. — 3 p.m. at the Children’s Art Center community residents are invited to bring their own art supplies to enjoy painting together with oil, watercolor, pencils or other mediums.
• Calvert City Elementary School will meet at 4:00 p.m. for their monthly SBDM meeting.
• Jonathan Elementary School will meet at 3:30 p.m. for their monthly SBDM meeting.
• Sharpe Elementary School will meet at 3:30 p.m. for their monthly SBDM meeting.
March 10
• The Calvert City Knights of Columbus are hosting the annual Fish Fry on Friday nights during Lent. Call in orders are acceptable. Please come grab a bite and help us support the local charities of Marshall County. Time is 4 p.m. — 7 p.m. Price is $13 per person and includes your choice of either fish, shrimp, or chicken, baked potato or french fries, white beans, cole slaw, hot or mild hush puppies and a drink.
March 11
• The U S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer a course for responsible boating at Kentuckiana Marine Sales, 5888 US Hwy. 641 N, Gilbertsville at 8:00 a.m. and should end by 5:00 p.m. Lunch will be on your own. There is a $20 cost for book and class (if couples $30.00 for both). This is a one day abbreviated course (8 hours). A certificate to apply for an insurance discount will be provided. March 13
• The Western KY/TN Stitchers Chapter meets monthly at the Marshall County Public Library. The meetings are scheduled on the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m. Their monthly projects include cross-stitch, red work embroidery, wool applique and stitched cards. • Marshall County High School will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the Central Office for their monthly meeting.
• The Marshall County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, March 13 at 11:30 AM in Republican Headquarters on the Benton Court Square. There will be discussions about future activities for the year. A light lunch will be served. Everyone interested is invited to attend.
March 14
• Refuse Board Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. at 835 Hollytown Road, Benton.
• Marshall County Habitat for Humanity will meet at 5:30 p.m. at 1101 Main St., Benton.
• The Senior Citizens Bowling for Fun group meets at 1 p.m. every Tuesday at Corvette Lanes in Murray. The cost is $11 to bowl three games. If you have any questions you may call Nancy Rubin at (270) 474-8366.
March 15
• The Keha Hardin Homemakers meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Marshall County Extension Office, 1933 Mayfield Hwy,, Benton. There are some months we enjoy an outing so please join us and call 270-210-6258 to confirm meeting location.
