'Certified Celebrator' featured at second women's luncheon

Marshall County's hard-working women are invited to the second Women in Business Luncheon hosted by the Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce featuring Brittany Young, the 'Certified Celebrator.'

Doors open at the Birmingham Pointe Event Center at 11 a.m. where vendors will be set up and ready for sales. This year's vendors include Silver Chics, Crumpet's Creations, Blackberry Cottage Soaps and Polka Dots & Paislees. In addition, Krystal Denfip, owner of Krystal Klear Photography, will be set up to take head shots which will be available for purchase at a later date.

At 11:30 a.m. a salad bar lunch catered by Magic Valley Catering will begin serving and this year's desserts are sponsored and provided by Parcell's Bakery.

The featured speaker is a young and energetic entrepreneur from Bowling Green who, through the power of social media, turned small celebrations with her family into a wildly successful career. According to her website, Young's parties have been featured on The Rachael Ray Show, Hallmark Channel's Home and Family, Southern Living, Pickler & Ben, Country Living Fair and Nashville's Talk of the Town.

Young says she is not a professional event planner, "just a girl who loves to celebrate the people in her life by bringing them together around a perfectly-decorated home," who encourages women around the world to do the same by sharing her entertaining tips, parties and giftie ideas on her blog.

Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce Executive Administrator Debbie Buchanan said she and the committee decided to give the women's business luncheon another go after a successful event last year and because they "wanted to do something to focus on the working ladies in our community.

Registration for the event is online and tickets cost $25 apiece. Visit the Facebook event or email chamber@marshallcounty.net for the link to registration.
