Marshall County’s Alpha Rho Chapter, is a philanthropic professional teachers organization. The organization offers annual scholarships to seniors going into an education field. This year, they raised scholarship money through pie mix sales and a yard sale.
The 2021 recipients, Faith Pratt and Whitley Watwood, were introduced by Glenda Byers.
At a dinner held at the Marshall County Arts Center, the ladies were presented certificates and checks by scholarship committee members Debbie Cate, Vivian Collins-McCrory and Patricia Greer. Pratt and Watwood were recognized on Class Night at Marshall County High School for receiving the scholarships.
During the meal, a performance by Elizabeth Stevenson was enjoyed by everyone.
