Staff members at hospoital, funeral home thanked

To the Editor,

On Nov. 30, 2020 my life changed forever. Jimmie Hodges, my husband of 52 years, was taken to Marshall County Hospital for COVID and double pneumonia.

During his time there, he was given wonderful care and our family was given much hope and respect. It didn’t matter if we called at a busy time of day or in the middle of the night. Every time any of us called we were treated with the utmost respect.

Then, on Dec. 18, 2020, the dreaded call came. He had passed. When we got to the hospital, we were all like family. We all cried, we all laughed about things he had said or done during his time there.

I just want to say our local hospital and staff is wonderful. We could not have had better care at any other hospital and my family and I would go there again in a heartbeat.

Also, I would like to thank the staff at Collier Funeral Home for all their help with the funeral. They were just as fantastic to help us, as was the hospital. “Thank you” doesn’t cover how we feel about both businesses.

Most sincerely,

Brenda Hodges
