The Kentucky State Police media relations branch in Frankfort has confirmed they are gathering information on events that led to the resignation of a nine-year veteran of the the force last week.

Trooper Donald Crawford resigned when information surfaced in the community of inappropriate contact with a Marshall County juvenile during a traffic stop.

Michael Webb, public information officer with KSP in Frankfort, would only confirm they are looking into the matter, but would not confirm the circumstances leading to Crawford’s resignation.

“The circumstances are currently unclear at this time. We are in the process of gathering details,” Webb said.
