Mr. Richard L. Brindley, 68, of Mayfield died Saturday, August 9 at his daughter’s home in New Market, Alabama. He was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church in Symsonia. He was a retired employee of Continental General Tire and a Vietnam Marine Veteran.

Mr. Brindley is survived by his mother Jane Sammons of Benton, son Joe Brindley of Henderson, daughter, Leanne (Kevin) McAllister of New Market, Alabama; two brothers Jim (Dixie) Brindley of Benton and Stanley Brindley of Dexter; three sisters Shirley (Bob) Turner of Benton, Earlene (Arnold) Cool of Lancaster and Barbara (John) Davis of Mayfield and two grandchildren Katelyn McAllister and Erin McAllister of New Market, Alabama.

Mr. Brindley was preceded in death by his wife Judy Brindley, his father Jesse J. Brindley and two sisters, Darlelne Colson and Carolyn Brindley.

Funeral services for Mr. Brindley were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13 in the Byrn Chapel. Burial followed in the Union Ridge Cemetery in Aurora. Graveside military rites were conducted by American Legion Post #26.
