Mr. and Mrs. Donald Forsythe of Grand Rivers celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Patti’s restaurant on July 27, hosted by their family.

Mr. Forsythe and the former Mary Pearl Forsythe were married July 25, 1954 in Grand Rivers by the Rev. James Dill. Their attendants were Lindel Peal and Celesta Branson, brother and sister of the bride.

Mrs. Forsythe is the daughter of the late Lee Bertrum and Ida Watkins Peal. She is retired from the accounting department of the former Atochem Corporation in Calvert City with 26 years of service.

Mr. Forsythe is the son of the late Lee Jackson and Lydia Forsythe. He is a retired Master plumber and contractor after 40 years of self employment.

They have three children, Gary Forsythe of Gilbertsville, David Forsythe of Paducah and Shelia Emerson of Lousiville, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
