He retired from SKW Alloys where he worked as a laborer. He was a member of the UAW Local #523, the American Legion; the Veterans Association and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Dunn Pinnegar of Benton; two daughters, Susan Ann Filbeck of Benton, and Carla Faye Dunn and her husband Joe of Benton; three grandchildren, Heather Dunn of Benton; Jason Filbeck and his wife Britney of Benton and Ashley Filbeck Hanson and her husband Jason of Calvert City; four great grandchildren, Sydney Filbeck, Ethan Filbeck, Macie Hanson and Aiden Hanson and one sister, Stella Barnett of Eddyville, KY.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Pinnegar and one sister, Hazel Dickens and one half- sister, Arletta. His parents were, George W. Pinnegar and Nannie Gentry Pinnegar.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. Glenn Cope, Rev. Jack Studie and Rev. Charlie Simmons officiated and burial with military rites provided by the William A Doyle Post 236 of the American Legion followed in the Hamlet Cemetery.
