Patrick Eugene Wiley, 83, of Paducah, died Tuesday, July 8 at Superior Care Home.

Patrick was born March 17, 1931 in Farmington, Wisconsin to the late Lloyd A. and Ida Blank Wiley. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where he was stationed in Hawaii and kept many memorabilia from his time spent on the island. He retired after over 20 years service from Prudential Insurance. Patrick was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He had a longtime interest in planes and cars and read many books about those topics, and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Bessel Wiley; three children, Kay Burnett and husband Kenneth of Buchanan, Tennessee, Melissa Jenkins and husband Eric of Benton, and Craig Ellifson and wife Janice of Paducah; a sister, Carol Wogsland of Texas; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Wendorf Heaney and Joan Schleicher; two brothers, Lynn Staude and Charles Wiley; and his parents.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 11 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Pastor Corey Aker officiated. Private graveside memorial services will be held at Mt. Kenton Cemetery at a later date.
