Mr. Paul Thomas Henson, 93, of Benton died on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton.

He was born Sunday, July 18, 1920 in Calvert City. He was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church. and also a member of Briensburg Masonic Lodge #401 where he received his 60 year pin. He retired from West Kentucky Rural Telephone where he worked as a technician.

Mr. Henson is survived by his son, Billy Henson and his wife Nancy of West Paducah, daughters, Dena Bryant and her husband Sammie of Benton and Cindy Rose and her husband Steve of Benton, five grandchildren, Cheri Woodruff and her husband Trent of Benton, Matt Henson and his wife Tami of Benton, Robin Whitis of Benton, Michael Bryant and his wife Lonnie of Fairbanks, Alaska and Jeremy Rose and wife Brandy of Benton; three step-grandchildren, Kandy Travis, Kara Turner and Kimberly Nall; 14 great grandchildren, Talan Rose and Kelan Rose both of Benton, Dustin Dunigan and Jessie Dunigan both of Clarksville, Tennessee, Perry Colley and wife Kalli of Benton, Emily Colley of Benton, Joey Colley of Benton, Olivia Bryant and Isaiah Bryant both of Fairbanks, Alaska, Dakota Woodruff, Ashli Woodruff, La’Tasha Powell and husband (Lucas), Tyler Henson and Daniel Henson all of Benton; six step-great-grandchildren, Quinton Travis, Zachary Travis, Kaitlin Blakemore, Sadie Blakemore, Kelsie Nall and Brady Nall; and two great-great-grandchildren, Tate and Eli Powell.

Mr. Henson was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Whitaker Henson and one grandson Joe Dunigan Jr. He was the son of the late Will Henson and the late Myrtle Washburn Henson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. Bro. Glenn Cope, Bro. James Stom and Bro. Jack Studie will officiate. Burial will follow in Hamlet Cemetery in Benton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 between the hours of 5 and 8pm at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
