Ethan Delaney and Paul Hudson scored 11 individual victories in a meet June 12 at Anna, Illinois, as the Calvert City Orange Waves summer swim team got its season off to a strong start.

Delaney took first in Boys 12-under in 50-meter butterfly, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, plus 100-meter individual medley and freestyle.

Hudson, swimming in the 18-under division, won the 50-meter butterfly and freestyle and 100-meter individual medley, freestyle and breaststroke.

Caleb Pahl was close behind with four individual event wins plus a role in the Boys 12-under 200-meter Medley Relay.

He teamed with Garrett Parker, Kelly Walker and Clint Walker.

In 10-under individual events, Pahl won the 25-meter freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke events, plus the 50-meter freestyle.

Other first-place winners were Amber Reid, Girls 10-under 100 individual medley; Wyatt Moshure, Boys 14-under 100 freestyle; and Alicia Miller, Girls 14-under 50 breaststroke.

Miller and teammates Carson Morris, Scarlett Wilkey and Emilia Andersson also won the Girls 18-under 200 medley relay.
