Revell Walton Taylor, Jr., 79, of Benton went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 1 a.m. Friday, May 30 at his home.

Revell was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an elder at the House of Prayer chapel and the owner of The Answer thrift store in Benton. He was professionally trained in graphic arts and worked for many years as a fine artist. Revell was still creating artwork until his final days on earth.

He is survived by his wife, Brooks Taylor of Benton; two step-sons, Ken Alan Harrison of Benton and Joe “Butch” Harrison of Hardin; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Lou Hawkins. His parents were Revell Walton Taylor, Sr. and Mary Chandler Taylor.

Celebration funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Chaplain Wayne Graham will officiate and burial will follow in the Benton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday, June 3 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
