James Nicholas “Nick” Marsh, III, 79, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Benton, died Saturday, May 17 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 21, 1935 in Benton to James N. Marsh, Sr. and Mae Evelyn Fisher Marsh.

He and Delphine Stevens were married April 8, 1956 at Corinth, Mississippi.

He retired from ISP Chemical in Calvert City.

He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge 1720.

He is survived by his wife, Delphine Marsh of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Andrea Marsh of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Sara Jaster and Thomas Jaster, II, both of Cape Girardeau, and Dustin Busby of Minnesota; brother, Robert Fisher Marsh, Sr. of Benton; sisters, Mary Dean Schoborg of Calvert City; sister, Martha Ann Fiske of Benton.; uncle, Benedict B. Marsh of Erlanger and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24 at Marshall County Memory Gardens in Benton. Brother Ron Hicks officiated.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Lung Association.
