Mr. Erwin Alexander Court, 78 of Paducah, died on Tuesday, May 20, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Court was born on Saturday, July 6, 1935 in Calumet, Minnesota. He was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church and a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He volunteered at Lourdes Hospital where he was a shuttle bus driver and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Court is survived by his wife Iva Roberts Court; one son, Kevin Court and his wife Amy of Benton; daughter, Kerry Thompson and her husband Rick of Appleton, Wisconsin.; step-sons, Donald Witte and his wife Maureen of Illinois, Steve Witte of Wisconsin, Tim Dillon and his wife Gale of Fairdealing and Cary Dillon of Virginia; step-daughters, Cathy Miller of North Carolina and Janet Colgan and her husband John of Paducah; six grandchildren, Kiefer Court, Kian Court of Benton, Cooper, Court, Avery and Adeline Thompson of Appleton, Wisconsin; 17 step-grandchildren, Ryan Dillon, Jayson Dillon, Nicholas Dillon, Dustin Owens, Tiffany Salines, Crystal Westerlyn, Jacquie Noble, Graham Dillon, Hannah James, Eric Sea, Charity Whittington, Megen Culpepper, Amanda Cornish, John Colgan Jr., Jennifer Tritle, Justin Colgan and Julia Colgan; 35 step- great-grandchildren, and one sister, Ardelia Hatch of Princeton, Minnesota.

Mr. Court was predeceased by son, Kelly Alexander Court, five brothers and one sister. HIs parents were the late Alexander and Adelaide Newman Court.

Funeral Mass was held on Thursday May 22at 3 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Father. Pat Reynolds officiated. Burial was in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens in Benton.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children; 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131.
