Mr. Eugene M. Hurley, age 94 years, 11 months and 16 days, of Calvert City, died on Friday, May 16, at Baptist Health in Paducah.

He was born Wednesday, May 21, 1919 in McCracken County. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 184 and a member of Abundant Life Worship Center in Calvert City. He honorably served in Army Air Corps and was a Veteran of World War II.

Mr. Hurley is survived by his wife of 66 and a half years, Ruby McMurtry Hurley; two daughters, Debbie Dowell and her husband Albert of Gilbertsville and Sandra Doan husband Jeff of Wappapello, Missouri; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hurley was preceded in death by one grandson, four brothers and two sisters. He was the son of the late Albert Harvey Hurley and the late Maggie Mae Worford Hurley.

Graveside services with full military honors were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday May 19 at Dees Cemetery. Pastor Lynn McWherter officiated. Interment was in Dees Cemetery inCalvert City.
