Maxie was a member of the Little Cypress Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lawrence Barrett of Benton, one daughter, Dana Renae Barrett Chambers of Benton, two sons, Michael Gene Barrett and his wife Sonja of Calvert City and Stanley Joe Barrett of Benton, two sisters, Ida Mae Jerrell of Kevil and Joanne Stevens of Hardin, six grandchildren, Rebekah Jean Woosley, Sarah Beth Nichols, Samuel Lee Barrett, Jacob Daniel Barrett, Alec Dane Shoulta and Leah Belle Barrett and eight great grandchildren, Elana, Benjamin, Merenda, Simon, Corey, Jeremy, Serenity and Amberly.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Young; and two brothers, J.C. Jessup and Howard Dean Jessup.
Graveside services were held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 at Fooks Cemetery. Pastor Patrick Gerwitz officiated. Burial followed in the Fooks Cemetery. Samuel Barrett, Jacob Barrett, Daniel Woosley, Trent Nichols, Alec Shoulta and Benjamin Woosley served as pallbearers.
