Judy Faye (Boyd) Poindexter, 62, of Paducah died at 12:38 a.m. on Thursday, May 8 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Judy was born in Linden, Tennessee on July 26, 1951 to Lonnie and Tommie Boyd. She was a graduate of Livingston Central High School and worked as a teacher’s aide for Grand Rivers Elementary School. She was a business owner in the lakes area and a longtime member of Gospel Mission Church.

She is survived by her father, Lonnie Luray Boyd and wife Helen, of Boaz; her son Billy Poindexter Jr. and wife Kristy, of Paducah; her sisters, Patsy Heath, of Lobelville, Tennessee, Radene Walker and husband Mackie, of Grand Rivers, Ann Ritchie Gillette and husband Drury, of Eddyville and Vicki Carroll and husband Charles, of Grand Rivers; her brother Bobby Boyd and wife Sandy, of Calvert City; her grandchildren, Taylor Poindexter, Kealey Henson, Zackary Poindexter, Jaylee Hayden and Brady Poindexter; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty eight years, Billy Wayne Poindexter; her mother, Tommie (Adkins) Boyd and her brother, Ronald Boyd.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 at Landrum Cemetery in Grand Rivers. Rev. Jim Greenwell officiated.
