Mr. Louis J. Stockbridge, 81, of Gilbertsville passed away Saturday, May 3 at his home. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He honorably served his country as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 until 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks and American Society of Metals.

Mr. Stockbridge is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marilyn Anderson Stockbridge; one son, Thomas Stockbridge of Kalamazoo, Michigan, two daughters, Deborah Cox and husband Mike of Evansville, Indiana and Susan West husband Eric of Gilbertsville, sister, Helen Harrison of Whitesboro, New York, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Louis C. and Mary A. Keneally Stockbridge, and one brother David Stockbridge.

A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City with Father Anthoni Ottagan officiating.

Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Inurnment to follow at a later date.
