James Hershel “Jim” Roach
Mr. James Hershel “Jim” Roach, 78, of Paducah passed away Thursday, May 1 at his home.

He was born Thursday, August 1, 1935 in Hickory. He was the son of the late Jasper Roach and Lillian Cox Roach. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He attended Gospel Mission Worship Center in Paducah.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Arant Roach of Paducah, two sons, Charlie Roach, wife Tina of Calvert City and Allen Roach of Paducah, eight grandchildren, Aaron, Christian and Austin Roach, Ricky Picka, Amber Christine Eley, Amber Nicole Roach, Zackary Roach, and Kelsey Roach, one great grandchild, Lydia Roach, two step grandchildren Shane and Stephanie Kraklow, of Calvert City, one brother-in-law, Harold Arant and his wife Mary Alice, of Calvert City and one sister, Florence Shock of Owensboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Robbie Meadows.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. Pastor James Wright officiated. Interment followed the service in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens in Benton.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
