She was born Minnie Christine Lowhorn on August 5, 1928 in Sparta, Tenn. to Samuel and Elsie Long Lowhorn and was the 12th of 14 children. She was preceded in death by all but one, Rosaline Lowhorn Hubbs of Trafalgar, Ind. Christine married Harold Briggs Burgdolf in February of 1946 and blessed him with eight children in the years of 1947 to 1959.Christine was a model homemaker of marveling guests as to her immaculate kept homes. She was a friend to all and would stand her ground for the love of her family.
She touched many lives throughout her 85 years often with a quick wit and her beautiful blue eyes. And like all loving mothers would say “everything will be alright”. She is and will always be missed “Good Bye Mom, Good Bye Granny, Good Bye Nan-Nan, Good Bye Chris”
And for all the wonderful professional caregivers who treated mother with dignity and respect and she adored them Good Bye Miss Minnie.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Kay Burgdolf Beach of Wheat Croft and three sons, Roger Dale Burgdolf of Gregory, Mich.; Timothy Joe Burgdolf of Murray and Alan Wayde “Buck” Burgdolf of Grand Rivers.
In addition to being preceded in death by her husband and parents she is preceded by three sons, Harold Wayne Burgdolf, Bruce Steven Burgdolf and Randall Keith Burgdolf; one daughter, Linda Lorraine Burgdolf Carson.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
