Logan Pence, Jr.
Logan Pence, Jr., 80, of Benton, passed away at 10:16 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 at Lake Way Nursing Home in Benton.

Logan was born in Wolfe County in 1933. He was the son of the late Logan, Sr. and Lula Pence and the youngest of 11 children.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie, sisters Beulah Spencer, Flossie Rose, Virgie King and Cova Barnett and two brothers, Fred and Warren.

Logan is survived by his son Brent Pence and his wife Vicki of Penn. and his daughters Kim Ceolin and her husband Peter of Ontario, Canada and Denise LaFlamme of Mich.; step-children Lisa Stevens-Wells and Randy Jones both of Benton, brother Ova Pence of NJ and sisters Patty Rhea McCray and Fern Drury both of Middletown, Ohio and Jean Barker of Franklin, Ohio; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

After moving to Middletown, Ohio, Logan began his work career at Aeronca, Inc. where he assembled aircraft parts, including those for an Apollo spacecraft. After retiring in 1991, he moved to Kentucky Lake to pursue his passion for fishing. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed sports.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Burial followed in the New Harmony Cemetery.
