Marilyn Thweatt, 89, of Benton, formerly of West Palm Beach, Fla., died on Wednesday, March 26 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

She was born Monday, April 21, 1924 in Detroit, Mich. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Benton and a life-long member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, Douglas C. Thweatt and wife Glenda of Benton, two daughters, Norma Platts of Georgia and Susan Cattell, husband Doug of South Carolina, sister, Virginia Hockrider of Lansing, Mich.; four grandchildren, Amilyn Thweatt, Adam Thweatt, Lauren Cattell and Douglas Cattell.

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Thweatt, one infant brother and one sister. Her parents were the late George Lynn and Florence (Wellneger) Lynn.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday March 30 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. Rev. David Atkinson officiated. Burial followed in Provine Cemetery in Benton.
