Mrs. Josephine Riddle Moore, 83, of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Columbia and Burkesville passed away on Wednesday, March 12, at her residence.

She was born in Cumberland County on Friday, June 20, 1930. She was the daughter of Dannie Isaac and Lillie Pearl Strange Riddle. She was a homemaker, beautician, graduate of Martha Norris Memorial High School, class of 1948, and a member of The First Christian Church in Columbia. Her favorite hobbies were gardening and word puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Moore, her sister-in-law, Maxine Lollar Riddle, her nephew, Kenneth Stewart Riddle, and her great-niece, Saskia Riddle Nuszbaum.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Harold and Angie Moore of Round Rock, Texas, her brother, Kenneth Isaac “K.I.” Riddle of Columbia and her great-nephew, Kenneth Stewart Riddle of Lebanon, Tenn. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Marshall County Memory Garden Cemetery in Benton.
