50th Anniversary: Davis

Mr. and Mrs. Amos Ray Davis of Gilbertsville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4:00 p.m. on February 2 at the Zion’s Cause Baptist Church activities building.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Davis and the former Glenda Faye Cox were married January 25, 1964 in Briensburg by the Rev. T.L. Campbell.

Their attendants were Wanda Cox English of Benton and Wayne Solomon of Paducah.

Mrs. Davis is the daughter of the late Herman and Redith Cox.

Mr. Davis is the son of the late Elmer and Flora Davis. He owned and operated Davis Plumbing for 20 years and retired from the Department of Building, Housing and Construction as a State Plumbing Inspector.

They have two children, Stacey Davis Smith and husband Jason and Dustin Ray Davis and wife Carrie, both of Gilberstivlle and one grandchild, Davis Lynn Smith.
