Edd Neuman Harper, 83, of Sharpe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, January 17 at Baptist Health in Paducah at 7:30 p.m.

Harper retired from Morsey Constructors, and was a lifetime member of the Iron Workers Local Union # 782. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rose Johnston Harper of Sharpe; two sons, Anthony Harper and his wife Marsha of Possum Trot and Bruce Harper and his wife Glenna of Sharpe; one sister, Shirley Marie Tubbs of Hardin; three grandsons, Treavor Harper and his wife Shara of St. Paul, Minn., Justin Harper of Benton and Tyler Harper of Utah; three granddaughters, Leigh Ann Jackson and her husband Joe of Benton, Katie Schneider and her husband Lucas of Metropolis, Ill. and Ashley Roy of Lone Oak; two step-grandchildren, Justin Vessels of Paducah, and Kendra Barrett of Sharpe; and nine great grandchildren.

Harper was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Thomas Harper, Harvie Louis Harper and Raymond Lay Harper; and a half-brother, Marion Scott Harper. His parents were Louis Mack Harper and Helen Marie Barrett Harper.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Elder Danny Ferrell officiated and burial followed in the Fooks Cemetery.
