Ina Mae Young, 94, of Gilbertsville, died Saturday, December 28, at Oakview Manor Healthcare Center in Calvert City,

Mrs. Young was retired as a sales clerk from Finkles. She was a member of Briensburg Missionary Baptist Church for several years where she loved attending her Sunday School Class. In her spare time she loved reading her bible, piecing quilts, cooking, gardening, and canning vegetables.

She is survived by three Children: Carolyn Pace Smith, Gilbertsville, Jimmie Ray Young, Calvert City; and Judy Niestrath, Paducah;one sister Mayme Bonner of Livonia, Mich., nine grandchildren: Dani Williamson, Franklin, Tenn., Gigi Henson, Richland, Texas, Jimmie Lynn Manion, La., Robin Zarzecki, Troy, Ill., Sean Niestrath, Madisonville, Sharon Mitchell, Huntsville, Ala., Shane Niestrath, Nevada, Mo., Harold Wilson Young, Jr., Paducah, Daryl Young, Paducah and several great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Stilley Ray Young; parents: William F. and Pearl Vasseur Powell and one son: Harold Wilson Young; four brothers; John Noel Powell, Owsley Powell, Shermon Powell and Thomas Marshall Powell; two sisters; Ione Smith and Inez Bedwell.

Funeral services will be at Briensburg Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 30. Rev. Eugene Powell and Rev. Calvin Wilkins will officiate. Interment will be at Briensburg Cemetery, Benton. Friends may visit with the family Monday, December 30 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Briensburg Missionary Baptist Church. Collier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
